To be accepted as an accredited member of WDLC a university must meet the following minimum standards:
» The university or college must be legally registered. It must offer a distance learning degree or certificate program without any residential requirement.
» The institution must have a demonstrated, fully non-discriminatory policy on race, colour, nationality, gender, religion, age, phsyical ability, sexual orientation and marital status.
» The institution will have a demonstrated confidentiality policy on data privacy and records requiring the student's written authorisation prior to any disclosure.
» The institution must demonstrate that it will not graduate any student who does not meet the academic requirements as set by that institution.
» The accreditation process can take in excess of two years and is rarely completed within 6 months. Initial registration and ongoing annual membership fees apply.
Institutions wishing to apply for accreditation by the WDLC should apply in writing.
