About Accreditation
Distance education accreditation by the WDLC is certification by a recognized body that an institution has voluntarily undergone a comprehensive study and peer examination. This examination has demonstrated that the institution meets the established standards required by teh WDLC.
Accreditation assures a prospective student that an institution operates on a sound financial basis, has an approved program of study, qualified teaching staff, effective and fair admission policies, adequate facilities, and advertises its courses truthfully.
WDLC accreditation is an institution-wide source of internationally recognized accreditation that covers all distance learning courses offered by an institution.
Accreditation is an opportunity to improve the educational quality of an institution. It provides means of evaluating and comparing curriculum, facilities, and procedures with those of peer institutions. In accreditation, the WDLC grants public recognition to an institution upon finding it to have met certain standards.
